Description

In this PAT Testing course, you’ll discover which equipment needs testing and how to identify its class. You’ll dive into legal responsibilities, master visual inspection techniques, and understand when to apply Electrical Equipment Testing (EET). This course is tailored for low-risk environments—like offices—not high-risk settings such as schools, factories, or construction sites.

Faulty electrical equipment poses real dangers. It can cause electric shocks, burns, irregular heartbeats, breathing issues, fires, or even explosions. In severe cases, it can be fatal. That’s why it’s crucial to actively maintain all electrical equipment—especially items that are used frequently or moved often. While many faults can be spotted through simple visual checks, others require more thorough testing. That’s where EET comes in—helping you uncover hidden risks and ensure safety.

Our PAT Testing (Electrical Equipment Training) course provides a clear overview of how to inspect and test equipment. But only carry out EET testing if the task is low-risk and you feel safe, confident, and competent. The course is 30 minutes long and made up of the following sections:
