Welcome to the Entonox Awareness training course.
Whether supporting someone with a broken bone, during labour, a dental procedure, or severe chest pain, Entonox provides fast pain relief while allowing the user to remain in control.
This course covers the safety precautions, regulations, and legislation required to store and use Entonox safely. It also explains how to set up, administer, and maintain the equipment, as well as how to handle common issues that may arise.
The course acts as a refresher on the basics of using, storing, and transporting Entonox. However, it does not qualify you to use it without completing formal, hands-on training.
This course is 25 minutes and includes the following sections:
- Entonox : In this section you will learn what Entonox is and when to use it.
- Storage & Safety : This section focuses on the correct storage and cylinder recognition. Learn how to transport it and follow safe handling guidance.
- How to administer Entonox : The last section covers the need for getting consent before administering Entonox and some issues that may arise from common use.
By the end of the Entonox Awareness course you will understand what Entonox is, when it should and should not be used, how to handle and store cylinders safely, and how to administer it ethically.
