It looks at what asbestos is, what an Asbestos Management Plan is; it considers some of the major diseases associated with working with asbestos and the effects they have on the human body; and it covers what you should do if you are ever accidentally exposed. The course has been audited by the Independent Asbestos Training Providers (IATP).In the UK alone, the HSE puts the number of asbestos-related deaths at around 5,000 per year due to asbestos work in the construction, renovation and building industries.
