Young People in the Workplace

Welcome to the Young People in the Workplace training course.

As an employer, you must keep all staff safe. However, you need to take extra care when working with young people, whether they are employees, apprentices, or on work experience. This course helps you manage workplace health and safety with confidence. It clearly explains your responsibilities and shows you how to protect young workers effectively. Throughout the course, you will learn why age affects risk. You will also understand what the law requires, how to train and supervise young people properly, and how to carry out tailored risk assessments.

In addition, the course takes just 30 minutes to complete and includes a printable certificate.

Finally, it covers the following key sections:

1. Young Worker : This section covers who is defined as a Young Worker in the Workplace.
2. Young Worker Law : This section focuses on employment laws and any considerations that an employer needs to make to ensure a Young Worker is safe at work.
3. Young Worker Training : This section looks at how supervision and training are paramount to ensure effective working of Young Workers.
4. Risk Assessments : The last section of the course looks at the importance of information that must be recorded on risk assessments to ensure the safety of a Young Worker in the workplace.
