The Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) course provides essential training for educators, school staff, and those working with children and young people. It offers knowledge to build safe, supportive environments. Participants will learn about safeguarding policies, recognize abuse signs, grasp educators’ legal duties, and support children’s well-being.
Our Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) course, is an in-depth and informative training programme that will ensure all participants working within Education have met the legal requirement to study the KSCIE documentation. The course is 75 minutes and covers the following sections:
- KCSIE Safeguarding Information: This section offers a detailed guide on Safeguarding for all staff. It covers identifying and reporting concerns, understanding policies, and sharing information to protect children. The Department of Education requires all child-facing staff to learn this guidance.
- KCSIE Safeguarding Information – School & College Staff Annex A: This is a brief version of Section 1. It’s for staff not working directly with children but can help in promoting children’s welfare and safety.
- Further Information Annex B: This part outlines schools’ responsibilities to prevent youth involvement in terrorism. It emphasizes promoting British values and recognizing radicalization signs. Staff will learn how to support at-risk children, ensuring they get the needed help and guidance.
